Golden Kumara Café is a family-owned business established in 2000 and located on the bueatiful shores of lake Taupō. Based on our café’s motto of Whangaihia to tinana ki te kai organic the café will highlight 100% New Zealand sourced, high quality, fresh organic ingredients.

Golden Kumara Café is owned by Awhina Matuku and family who are from Ngāti Tūwharetoa decent. Their vision is to promote Māori culture and cuisine as a fusion with popular New Zealand dishes. Share in the happiness of wholesome food, the company of friends and whānau (family) and appreciate the ingredients provided by mother nature.
